Yongshan Ye has been learning the guzheng for eight years since 2017 and is one of the earliest students of Teacher Ding Yi. With a deep passion for Chinese classical music, she was drawn to this instrument. Under Teacher Ding’s guidance, she mastered some major techniques and co-founded the Yizhiyin Ensemble. She led the ensemble in regular rehearsals and participated in events organized by various associations. Under Teacher Ding’s leadership, beautiful pieces such as Flourishing Age, Butterfly and Blue, The Fair and more were outstandingly performed, delivered to our audiences and greatly adored by all. Later, due to personal reasons, Yongshan moved away from Massachusetts and left the ensemble. However, her love for the guzheng never waned, and she continues to study and practice. She remains grateful to the Yizhiyin Ensemble, her dear teacher, and fellow guzheng friends.
